This 18th century plain disc button was found at the Richard and Ruth Taylor Homesite. It dates to the 18th century and may have been lost during the normal workaday chores on the farm, popping off when someone was straining to lift something, dropping off as the threads frayed overtime, or getting caught on something and pulling off to be lost among the detritus int he work yard.
